Government Declares It a Terrorist Attack
Following the blast, the government officially labelled the Red Fort car explosion as a terrorist incident. During a press briefing, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “The country has witnessed a heinous terrorist act carried out by anti-national forces.”

A special team, led by senior officers, has been formed to investigate what authorities believe was a Jaish-e-Mohammad module recently uncovered by Indian security agencies.
