How to Make Moong Dal Methi Chilla
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it for four to five hours. Drain the water and grind the dal into a smooth paste using a mixer.
Step 2: Add Fresh Ingredients
Clean and finely chop the fenugreek leaves. Transfer the dal paste and fenugreek leaves into a bowl. Add chopped onion, garlic, and green chilli.
Step 3: Mix in Spices
Add cumin seeds, turmeric, grated ginger, coriander powder, and red chilli powder. Sprinkle in salt and mix well. Pour a small amount of water to adjust the consistency and combine everything evenly.
Step 4: Cook the Chilla
Heat a pan and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it gently. Cook on medium flame until the base turns golden, then flip and cook the other side. Once done, serve warm with your favourite chutney.
