Mahindra has confirmed that the XEV 9e will debut in late November 2025, while customer deliveries are expected to begin by early 2026. Based on Mahindra’s INGLO EV platform, the XEV 9e is expected to be priced between ₹22 lakh and ₹29 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with premium EVs such as the Tata Harrier EV, BYD Atto 3, and Hyundai Kona Electric.

The new Mahindra XEV 9e is likely to come with 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery pack options. Buyers can expect both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. The larger battery version could deliver a range of up to 500 km on a single charge, while the base version may offer around 450 km. The SUV will also support fast charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, enhancing practicality for long drives.

The XEV 9e takes design inspiration from the XUV700 but features a distinct EV identity. Inside, it will offer a triple-screen dashboard setup with three 12.3-inch displays-one each for infotainment, driver information, and passenger entertainment. Premium touches like a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, AR-based head-up display, and multi-zone climate control will add to its comfort and luxury quotient.

Mahindra will likely offer two seating configurations-a 5-seater for regular use and a 6-seater with captain seats for added comfort. On the safety front, the SUV is expected to include Level 2+ ADAS, 360-degree cameras, front and rear parking sensors, and multiple airbags.
