The Maharashtra government has extended the e KYC deadline for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, giving over a crore women more time to complete verification and continue receiving benefits.
Ladki Bahin Yojana Latest Update
The Maharashtra government has announced a major update for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The deadline for completing e KYC, which was earlier set for 18 November 2025, has now been extended to 31 December 2025. This change brings relief to more than 1.10 crore women who could not complete the process due to technical issues and disruptions across the state.
The announcement was confirmed by Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare. She shared that under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, the scheme continues to run smoothly across the state. Recognizing the challenges faced by beneficiaries, the government decided to offer additional time for e KYC completion.
Why Did the Government Extend the e KYC Deadline
Aditi Tatkare stated that the state recently faced several difficulties, including natural disasters and technical problems. Due to these challenges, many eligible women were unable to complete their e KYC on time. Keeping these circumstances in mind, the government opted to extend the verification deadline to ensure no beneficiary loses the scheme benefits due to unavoidable delays.
