The Bihar Assembly Election 2025 results have taken a decisive shape, with the NDA heading toward a dominant victory while the Grand Alliance struggles to keep pace.
NDA Nearing a Landslide in Bihar Results 2025
The Bihar Assembly Election picture is nearly settled, and the NDA appears set for a sweeping win. Many major leaders from the Grand Alliance are trailing in their constituencies, indicating a significant shift in voter sentiment. At the same time, Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party has emerged as one of the strongest performers within the alliance.
LJP’s Remarkable Performance
Latest trends show the Lok Janshakti Party leading in 21 seats despite contesting only 29. If these trends convert into official results, it would mark a major breakthrough for Chirag Paswan. In the previous assembly elections, Chirag Paswan moved away from the NDA and fielded candidates against the JDU, which led to considerable losses for Nitish Kumar’s party. JDU ended up with only 43 seats, ranking third overall.

Chirag Paswan’s Comeback After a Tough Election
In the last election, despite causing damage to the JDU, the LJP failed to win any seats. However, the NDA gave priority to Chirag Paswan this time by allotting him 29 seats. Throughout the campaign, Chirag Paswan remained active and pushed hard for the victory of his candidates. As a result, 21 candidates from his party are leading, showing how effective the NDA’s strategy and candidate selection have been. Many political analysts believe the Grand Alliance’s weakening coordination contributed heavily to its poor performance.
BJP Expected to Become the Largest Party
Based on the trends, the BJP is on track to become Bihar’s largest party with around 90 seats. The JDU is projected to follow with about 80 seats. On the other hand, the RJD seems to be facing the biggest setback. It is leading in only 31 seats, a sharp fall from the 74 it secured in the previous election. The Congress, another key ally of the Grand Alliance, is ahead in just 4 constituencies. The Jansuraj Party does not seem to be opening its account in this election.

Overall Political Picture
The 2025 Bihar election results clearly show that the NDA’s united strategy, along with strong performances from both the BJP and the LJP, has dealt a heavy blow to the opposition. As counting progresses, the NDA is well on its way to forming the next government with a comfortable majority.
